GoldMine 7.0 has been available for Corporate Edition users since November 2005. Later this month, it ought to be available to Standard Edition users too!update 9/18/06: This rumor has been debunked. Standard Edition will see it’s next update with GoldMine 8.0 projected to be released some time early in 2007

This next update to GoldMine will be officially referred to as patch 4 (or 7.0.4).

What it means to Corporate Edition users is another dose of the stability that patch 3 brought with it. For Standard Edition users, it means the first patch to GoldMine since early 2005.

While that is quite a while between patches, a lot has happened to both the program and the company in that time. They’ve changed ownership, the location of their headquarters and have weathered having to hire new faces for a large percentage of their QA and development teams.

While it can sometimes be tempting to reminiscence about old times, the new times are looking better every day.
