We just upgraded to SQL and occasionally we are getting the error, while we are in real-time tab. Any ideas?

In the alias for the GoldMine database in the BDE Administrator try setting the "Blob Size" and "Blobs to cache" settings to 256. |

Did you perform full maintenance (rebuild with sort/verify) before hosting to sqL?
I agree with ronan. Here are the specific instruction in the area that he suggests:
Quote: |
Go into BDE Administrator
In the Database tab select your alias eg GoldMine_Sales
On the right you'll see Blobs to Cache - set this to 1024 (or higher)
Save and exit.
Restart GoldMine... this will probably fix the problem... if it dose not post again. |
You may need to host the data back to dBase then perform full maintenance then host back to SQL. |

If its already set to 1024 then chaning it wont make much difference. I recommend setting it to 256 because the default is something like 8.
What version of SQL is your database sitting in? |

I listed my details just to make sure that he was looking at the correct alias. Over the years, the numbers I suggested had become one of the standard fixes though it takes more memory. |

It's SQL 2000, so will it make any differnce if ill change it to 256 ?
I'm not sure if full maintenance was performed before the upgrade, if not - is there another way to fix it, other than converting back? |
