For years whenever I had a problem with GoldMine email I would create an account with Outlook Express using the account credentials we were using in GoldMine. If OE did not work, something was wrong with the account credentials. If OE worked... GoldMine always worked.
I have just encounter a case where this is not the case. OE works... GoldMine email does not. This is happening with three users on three laptops. I am copying and pasting the account info. I am setting the accounts so authentication is required using the same authentication as the POP. No SSL is required.
In GoldMine...
Errors are Protocol Error 503.5.5.1 "authentication not enabled" (but it is)
or
Error 500.5.5.0 command not recognized "atuh login".
Each user can successfully send when they are in the office or on their own home office networks. The sending is failiing when "on the road" in various hotels or coffee shop wireless connections. Panera is one that always works. Others do not.
Anyone else see anything like this. PS - this problem only started a couple of months ago... before that sending was fine. Web browsing is fine in all cases.
Any suggestions or ideas of where to look are greatly appreciated. |

I would suggest that you do not have the authentication login/password correct. |
