Hi,
Upgraded from 6.7 Dbase last build to 2014 and all went well except that there are no email attachments under the Links tab?? Attachments are in the individual emails.
The LinkedDoc app I used to use wont run under GMPE and built in Move isn't really the correct tool?? I think.
Any help appreciated, new email attachments are populating the Links Tab. |

Need more information. What is the version of your computer's operating system that is holding GoldMine and SQL? Before you performed the upgrade, did you perform full maintenance (pack and Rebuild with Sort & Verify? When you did the upgrade, did you go directly from 6.7 to 2014? Please describe the "LinkedDoc app" you mentioned. |

One has to hope that you upgraded through the ranks.
6.70.70226 -> 9.0.0.110
9.0.0.110 -> 2014.1.0.412 |

New HP Windows Server 2008 R2 running SQL 2005 Standard with 32gb ram and 500gb HD.
6.7 last build, purged logs BR7 packed mailbox (deleted a lot of old to bring size down) full GM maintenance and yes 6.7 to 9.0 to 2013 to 2013.1 all Hotfixes to 2014.
Only thought to look at the links tab after 2014 was installed, not the end of the world as new emails are populating the links tab and the attachments are in the old historic emails but would be nice to have the install @ 100%. |

I would have liked to see SQL Server 2008 R2 or SQL Server 2012. |

Hi D J,
SQL 2008 R2 would have been nice but unfortunately money is an object. Anyway, most users have always used the history to go back to old emails and the attachments are there.
Have to say, love this version of Goldmine, 20 users (6.7 for years) logged in this morning for first time including remote Terminal Services, already did a Constant Contact campaign and hardly any issues, bliss.
Thanks guys. |

Caveat: You probably won't be able to Upgrade to GoldMine Premium 2014.1.0.412 if you have MS Server 2003 or any XP Workstations using GoldMine. |

I believe that DJ's comments about compatibility are absolutely correct. |

All PC's are new Win 7 64 bit Pro and virtual server 2008 which we can upgrade anytime, moving to office 365 next week from 2012 pro, not using Outlook. Will look at SQL 2012 if needed.
Thanks guys, day 2 and all well |

Spoke too soon, users having issues with slowdown and egg timers, checked Server and discovered IT only put in 8 gb RAM not the 32 we requested, they are upping it tomorrow.
Going to reboot everything after an orderly log out, any other tweaks I should try?
Thanks again |

In your first post, you were talking about "linked attachments". Are you referring to email attachments on outgoing emails or email attachments in incoming emails or other attachments? |

I would run the following SQL Query in GM to see where it is looking for the attachments:
Quote: |
select title, address1 from contsupp where rectype = 'L' |
|
