Hi I setup a new server and put goldmine 5.7 on it and moved my data folder form my old machine. Everything seems to work correctly. Our network is a peer to peer network and the drive is shared.
I have a question. when setting up the workstation I mapped the server drive(c) as "S" drive. Now when I open goldmine on the workstation I had to setup to data files 1 that was pointing to "C" for the server and 1 that was pointing to "S" for the workstation. The datafiles seem to work. (not sure if this is the correct way though).
I setup faxrush on the server and installed it on the workstation. it brings up the incoming faxes but I cannot view them as it give me an erro telling me that the location "C:\..." is not available.
There must be a simpler way to setting up goldmine on a peer to peer system.
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

You should use a
NET USE s: \\servername\share
command in your server's autoexec.bat to map that S drive so that there is no referencing of the C drive in GoldMine on the server or in Faxrush, etc. Then everything is stored with an S:\... path and all machines are on the same page. |

Probably not, but XP is not intended to be a server... It's internally crippled so that it doens't perform on par with the server class operating systems from M$.
Read more and get a hack here:

Of course, applying such a hack would be for informational purposes only and you should use the proper, Microsoft-provided DLL's on your machines at all times.. |

I'm sorry but no version of gold mine works with anything but POP3/SMTP. |
