SQL 2008 and GM 8.5.12 w Universal Search installed. Universal Search will not find anything. Regardless of search term it comes back saying whatever you search on isn't found when I know there are multiple instances of the search term(s). The filter service is running.

Is this happening to all users or just one? Do you get the same results when operating GM on the server itself or just the workstations. Answers to my questions on your other post may give us a clue.

All users and on the server. If you are referring to the GISMO issue, this is a completely different installation of GM.

You must make certain that the Service for SQL Full-text Filter Daemon Launcher (MSSQLSERVER) is Started.

You may want to turn off Universal Search, check that the above service is started, and then reestablish Universal Search. Remember that it will take some time to build the indexes.

You can say per my original post as often as you want, but most of us responding to the forums will not read the entire thread. We usually only go back one or two post at most.

Did you even try my second suggestion?

Wouldn't there be a lot of wasted time only going back a few posts? I at least read the original post to find out what it was about. Oh well, to each his own.

Yes, I've done what you recommended already.

Did you manage to resolve this as we are experiencing a very similar problem although our Universal Search is bringing back speradic results... no results the first time, then 2, then 3, then 0 again...

On the problem system, no we haven't figured it out. Have another one I did the other day and it too will find nothing. Have done several others that worked fine.
