Brought to my attention by a client. Anyone figured a way around this?

Version 7.6.0.16 and 7.6.0.17

Steps to recreate
Additional Contacts tab
Add or edit an additional contact.

When we type the first number in the zip code field, the Zip Codes Lookup window pops up and then the City field is the active field, so you can never just type a zipcode. Previously, we could type in the entire zip code on the Additional Contact record and the lookup window did not open.

It behaves the same way regardless of how the user's preferences are set in edit/preferences/Record.

As far as I know there is no work-a-round, however, this issue was not unique to CE. The same issue was in PE, the basis for 7.6.x, and has been resolved in more recent build of GMPE v9.x. You may have to wait until the next build of CE if there is to be one.

I agree with DJ. I just finished working with a client who has over 50 remote users on that version of GM. They had the same issue and we could not resolve it. The latest version of PE does resolve this annoyance.

Thanks guys. I knew it was fixed in PE. This is my last "regular" client on 7.6, and they're a bit steamed about this one, as they waited a looong time for the last update to the 7.x branch. I'm tempted to HEX hack the EXE to see if I can just disable the zipcode lookup for the additional contacts tab. Smile
