Suggestions, ideas about how to alphabetize the 'Add a Group Member' pull down list of Groups?
Sure appreciate directions, ideas how to approach.

Thank you for the quick consideration and reply. I do appreciate it.
After I posted that I thought about, but could not find anything, something about where that list is stored (so that I could manually re-sort it?).
Do you know where, what file that that Add a Group Member listing might be stored?

contgrps table (or contgrps.dbf if you're in an older version.)
The only thing that would re-sort that for you would be if you gave all the group definition records new RECID values.. |

if you really want to do that, you could, actually... You'd need to identify those items in the gontgrps table, then give them all some unique value in the RECID column, in order. Then use GoldMine to pack and rebuild that individual table and tell it to convert to the new recid format and it'll give them all new recids and should dole them out in order.
Of course, if you had an SQL database, this could all be done much more easily under SQL. |
