Any Goldbox pundits around in the nether? If so, please put your beautiful brains to this one!
When sending out a mailshot, I am constantly renewing the SENT group, then changing the mailing list, then updating the OUTBOX group - ready to send again.
This is the filter.
ingroup ("Concerts", "Trios & Quartets") .and. ingroup ("Mailshots", "Mailing List YES") .and. not ingroup ("Mailshots", "--- SENT")
My steps always are:-
1. run the SENT group to update it
2 enter a new mailing list in OUTBOX
3 then run OUTBOX
I can't work out why the Group build (in Goldbox) is searching through every single record in the database. I was expecting it examine the OUTBOX group by examining the data in SENT against the MAILING LIST.
What am I doing wrong? I mean the build works, but it takes a full 5 minutes to run, where I'm expecting a much quicker group build update.
Any ideas - ??
