On version 8.5 of GM.

I am trying to nail down what the user variable is for email when using DDE or the built in email template feature in GM.

For Example... The below examples work fine...
User's Name: &UserFullName
User's phone: &User_Var.Phone

I am trying to figure out how to include the user's email address in the body of the email...
I tried
&User_Var.Email
&User_Var.email
&User_Var.EmailAddress
&User_Var.emailaddress

...and none worked.

Anyone got an idea how to figure this out?

As explained in GoldMine Premium - The Definitive Guide, you can add your own/corporate User Variables to each UserID.ini:

[user_var]
Email=DJ@DJHunt.US
Phone=(978)342-3333

Got it!

Looking at the .ini I see there is another section called [Internet] and it lists the individuals email as "Return_Address" ... Is there a way to use that instead of having to add the email to each user's [User_Var]?

I already tried ...

&Internet.Return_Address

...and it didn't work... Is it just not possible?

I always put it in the Department field of the Personal section under Options, since we don't use Departments. Then I use that Department macro...

@TPorter - The only problem they had Terry is that the Department field has a finite length.

@RWhitehurst - User Variables or nothing.
