Upgrading large GMS 6.7 to GMPE. The email center for for 6.7 contains the proper Filed and Sent sub-folders. When hosting to GMPE 9.0 the email center does not contain those two folders. Two questions:
1. Why may the folder be missing
2. When I create those two folders in GMPE 9.0, how can I get the proper emails connected to the Sent and Filed folders.

Thanks,

Bob Gannett

If you create top-level folders called FILED and SENT for the user, close the email center and re-open it, do the contents re-appear?

Many thanks. In the GMPE when the the user received 1 email and I logged as him and sent 1 email, the sub-folders Sent and Filed were created and these two emails were posted but the folders were not populated with the others.

I had problems with GM maintenance and hosting and have used several methods to host to include listing the tables to be hosted. I have not yet attempted to host 6.7 directly to SQL before getting it to GMPE.

I appreciate your great comments.

The mailbox records are in the sql mailbox table. They can be opened from the contact's history record. Specifically both the GM 6.7 and GMPE currently have 119,474 records in Mailbox table and in both of the GMs, the Folder has 4,145 Filed and 2,127 Sent

For some reason, a few emails are missing from a limited monthly date in 2015. At one time they had many thousand in the mailbox trash. When I deleted them, a bunch of history was lost so I returned them and untrashed them using BR7. When I first started the upgrade a year ago, the Mailbox.dbt was larger than 2 GB so for the first part of the upgrade, I deleted some older contacts though will sure bring them back into the sql GMPE.Still missing some emails so I am going to begin restoring all of my backups and see if I can salvage the missing ones. In any case, a majority of the original emails are available in the

Major items to attack are to have emails listed in Sent and Trash, then also restore old data and some missing emails.

Thanks for your questions and comments.

hmm.. well, that sounds like a LOT of steps have been taken. I'm not sure I can offer much help in guessing, at this point. I'd say take a look at the FOLDER and FOLDER2 values for the mailbox items and then find the actual folder definition records and go from there matching the values... The structure/relationship of the folders and the mail within can be a bit opaque at times, so you might do best to just drop them into folders by year up to last year or so, if the client's okay with that. Then fix them all with SQL update statements against the mailbox records.

Could be a lot of work...

Many thanks. I will have to figure out how to drop them into the two folders Filed and Sent. I just might start over and maybe attempt sync profile for 6.7.

Thanks for your comments and help.
