Viewing Another Record causing crash

I have a user who will Activate a Group and work through it to make his calls. If he is interrupted by an incoming call, he will use the View Another Record option in Goldmine instead of leaving the Group he is working in. So he will have two contact records open at times.

Several times per day his Goldmine crashes, and he is seeing a pattern related to his use of the View Another Record process. I can't find any posts describing this behavior. Ever heard of such a thing?

Ive not come across this issue before tbh. Does it happens for all users or just one? Does it happen if that users logs into another workstation? How about if someone else logs into GoldMine on the problem workstation?

I can't say that I have ever heard of this. I would like to see the answers to Ronan's questions though.

Thanks, guys. These are all valid questions and logical tests for any performance issue. In this case, I can't seem to find any other of my 50 users who utilize the View Another Record option, so it is isolated in that regard. From what I gather, they prefer to leave the record they are currently viewing and come back as needed. Since this is happening throughout the day to this user, it would be tough for me to pull a sales rep off the phones to do the tests...so I was hoping someone had run across this before. Appreciate the feedback...I'll try to do some sort of test. Thank you!

I can appreciate that it is difficult to test this, but we really need to know if it is isolated to one user or workstation or if it affecting all users. Maybe the best thing to do would be to take a couple of users aside and show them what steps are causing the problem, and ask them throughout the day to try the View Another Record option and see what happens.

Indeed. I'm having the lone user document his steps so we can narrow down the behavior if possible. Then I can do some smaller testing scenarios for a shorter period.
