(Goldmine 5.5) I'm receiving an error when maintaining the database. The error message says that the table can't be opened because it is un use, but it isn't. I've tried current contact set and then maintaining table by table. Also, when I pack, I get xfiles in the common directory. Have tried to delete the x files, and maintaing the database again, but nothing works. Any suggestions?

The very first thing I'd do is reboot the server. That may not take care of everything, but I suspect that message means you need to do that, at least.

Thank you so much. I ended up stopping Goldsync and trying it again. It worked. Strange thing is that I have two databases - the first one I had no problem maintaining, but the second one req'd me to turn off Goldsync before I could maintain it.

Thanks again, Doug.
