We just migrated our Goldmine to a new server. We used some software called Double Take Move that mirrored our old server and replicated everything on to the new server. You do a cutover and it brings down the old server and starts everything up on the new server. It transfers not just files but the complete system state, all the shared drives, settings, etc.
This software has a learning curve, but it performed perfectly in the end and I thought you might want to be aware of it. |

Thanks for sharing.
What version GM did you move? Was it SQL or dBase. If SQL, were you able to move SQL Server without re-installing?
Thanks. |

It was Goldmine Premium 8.0. Yes, able to move the entire SQL installation without re-installing.
Had one glitch with Goldbox apps not wanting to run on the new server, but the Godfather walked me through a tip to fix that, was actually a Microsoft issue. |
