Hey,
Right now Goldbox 7 is running on Windows XP 32-bit machine, and we are going to install Goldbox 9 on the new Windows 7 64bit machine. What would be the easiest/most efficient way to upgrade all the imports/exports/qfiles to the new Goldbox 9? Do we have to redo all the jobs by hand? Or Is there an easier way to do?
Maybe we can install GB7 on new workstation and then move from the old one, and then upgrade? Where can I find the instructions or any documentation how to upgrade/migrate it?
Thanks alot. |

The good news is that you should have no problem transering your Setups. I no longer have a copy of GX7, but you should find an entry similar to "TRANSFER Setups..." under the Service menu (or maybe File). Follow the instructions and you'll end up with a Zip file that you can put in the root of your GX9 install. It should assimilate nicely.
But on the 64 bit issue, I'd strongly recommend that you consider installing GX9 on a 32-bit machine. I have it on my Win7 Pro 64; some things work, some things don't. I will not go into more specifics here, but you may call me if you like. |
