Hi,

I have Goldmine 9.1 on my server. I have been using pop for my email. My service provider has provided us the option to use Imap.
I went into my email profile in Goldmine and changed it from Pop to Imap.

It seems that if I use Imap the system does not want to log in, but if I change it to pop it works great.

I have the imap working on my outlook so I know it works.

Any ideas and help on getting Imap to work would be great

Hi,

I figured out on how to get the emails to come in under Imap. BUT what is still not working is when I send email (SMTP) with Goldmine I cannot see the sent messages under outlook.

How can I sync the sent messages ?

it's your email server and your account and your settings. The best I can suggest is to double-check the server name, port, ssl setting, etc.

Doug,

Thanks for the reply. It has been mentioned on this forum that Goldmine is not a true Imap email system.

This is a work in progress.

Thanks

Hi everyone,

I have set my Goldmine to Imap. I can send and receive emails in goldmine. BUT since it is IMap I should be able to see my sent email in outlook or in any other email program that I setup to be IMAP.
This is not the case. It seems that even though Goldmine is set to IMAP it is really not IMAP.

Does anyone have a solution or fix for this ?

That is correct. GoldMine is not an imap client, it simply speaks imap. GoldMine can communicate with the imap server, but it does so in a pop3 manner -- if that makes sense. It looks to see what's new in the inbox and downloads it. End of story.

It's a fact of how GoldMine works. It's not changing.
