Is there a way to make the path show for items in linked Docs. One of our co-workers accidently mis-pointed a bunch of files to her local HD. I'm trying to find these, and it's a PAIN to have to go through one record at a time in the general timeframe. If I could set things up to show the paths then I could look for anything that doesn't go to the network drive and correct it.

your best bet would be an sql query like

Code:

select address1+address2 as pathfile from contsupp where rectype='L' and address1 like '%\desktop\%'

I realise that this post is a llittle old but this inexpensive utility may be of interest to anyone experiencing the same issue in the future.

http://www.papillontechnology.com/linkdocs.htm

Install and configure the product then launch it.
Enter c:\wrong_location\ in the "Directory Name to Replace"
Enter \\Document_Server\Right_Location\ in the "Directory Name to Replace with"
and click on "Dry Run" to indicate the number of records that are incorrect. You can then use "Replace ALL" to correct the entries for you.

You will, of course, need to copy the files from the local hard drive of the user to the network drive as well.
