I have used Beyond Gold for 6.7 to copy user's macros, but how do we do it in 7.0? I don't see a feature in GoldBox. |

why would you want to copy users macros? Just insert them on a global task bar |

I think that is what I would do in todays GoldMine as well. There is no longer the same need to copy macros that there was in the past. |

I can't off the top of my head think of why you wouldn't want to follow the advice and use a global taskbar to call the macro, but that doesn't mean there is some legitimate reason for doing so.
This is the manual way to do it... feel free to play around with in your free time
This assumes you have a user FRED who has a macro file called FRED.801. You want to copy this to TED who already has a few macro files (TED.801, TED.802, TED.803).
1) In Windows Explorer, copy the FRED.801 file and rename the copy TED.[NEXT NUMBER] (i.e. TED.804).
2) Open up the FRED.MAC file in Notepad. Copy the [801] and information directly below it: this will be several lines that have T, D, F, H, S.
3) Open up the TED.MAC file in Notepad. Paste the information from the FRED macro at the end of the file.
4) Change the [801] to the number of TED's macro (i.e. [804]).
5) Change the F information to reflect the new name of the macro file (i.e. F=TED.804)
Unless your macro is 130 steps long, it would probably be easier to just re-create them for the other user.
My $.02 ($.01 adjusted for inflation).
