Please help -
I am creating a Completed Activity report by pulling the GM data from our SQL Server. I have all the fields needed from the ContHist table, but the "Notes" field isn't showing me the actual call/activity notes. It only shows:
<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN">

What I want it to say is:
S/W so and so about program. He appreciated my call, but is all set for now. OK to follow up in future.

How can I pull this data????
Thanks.

what version of GoldMine

what report engine?

You need to parse HTML from the notes fields. Most report engines that commonly work with GoldMine have this capability.

You may want to place in your GM.ini:

[GoldMine]
HTML_Cal_Notes=0

This will turn off the HTML Notes for future notes, however, it will not help your already created notes. To fix those you will need to use a utility like GoldBox.

I am pulling it into access & running a query. So I am not really using a "report" writer. Can access convert the html?

I was being impatient waiting for IT to build a report on our report server through SQL Would it then show up on the report server end result?
Thanks.
