Here's the details:
-GoldMine PE 9.0.2.36
-Workstation XP w/ 4GB RAM (GoldBox is installed locally- C:\GoldBox7)
-Windows Server 2008 (v Windows Server Standard SP1 5GB RAM)
-SQL Server 2008 (v 10.0.2531.0)
-GoldBox (v 2011-A)
Note: This GoldBox has been in production for several months with no issues. Recently they installed SQL Studio 2008 (previously SQL Studio 2005). Issues started at that point from what I can tell.
Restarted Server and Workstation (a couple times during testing)
Here's the issue(s):
-GoldBox is unable to Export Contact1 and Contact2 Data
**I tried only exporting contact1 (failed) - No error - GB launch pops up and then goes away
**I tried only exporting contact2 (failed) - No error - GB launch pops up and then goes away
Other Info:
-GoldBox can export ContHist and Contupp w/o issue
-GoldBox import to Contact1 only seems to work ok
-GoldBox importto Contact1 and Contact2 errors out (Database Engin Error: Insufficient Memory for this Operation)
-Able to query all tables from GoldBox->Queries
**We also installed a patch from Castell that is supposed to help with Insufficient Memory errors (divisible by 4)**
Other things we've tried:
-We made sure all of our GoldMine tables were balanced and we don't seem to have any corruption.
-The new XP install that we did with fresh install GoldBox install had a fresh install of the BDE as well.
I'm at a loss. I guessing it has something to do with the settings with SQL Studio 2008. The reason I'm guessing its a SQL issue is I'm setup a fresh install of GoldBox on a new XP box (brand new) and got the same results. The new install of GoldBox didn't include any of the setup (orany files) from the initial install.
If you have any ideas I'd love to hear them. |

if I had to guess, I'd say that someone added new custom field(s) to contact2 and used GoldMine to rebuild the table which then resulted in a loss of SQL permissions for whatever SQL user your GoldBox/BDE uses.
Check the SQL permissions on Contact1 and compare to those on Contact2 to prove/disprove this theory. |
