Got this error in Goldbox when hitting the second phase of the convert to DBF from ODBC process:
Database Engine Error: Insufficient Disk Space
File: c:\qxsql\nvimport.prg
Routine: nvimport
Line: 1974
To be sure, I have plenty of disk space (numerous GBs), and the MSSQL server is auto-allocating 10% to the Goldmine DB as required.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Mike |

Is the amount of free space on your drive evenly divisible by 4 (ignoring the decimals)? |

Not sure I follow.
4.03 GB free disk on the drive that Goldbox runs on
27.9GB free disk on the drive that MSSQL runs on |

4.03 does qualify as a multiple of 4, and so you are probably seeing the notorious BDE error. The quickest way to deal with that is to find a file or two that add up to a couple hundred megs and copy them somewhere on that drive. That will bring the free space under 4.0 and the error should go away.
Problem is, 4GB free space is dangerously small for hard drives these days. I'd want to see you free up space on it (to a non-multiple of 4, of course); the bigger the better. Or look at replacing the drive with a much larger one. |

Bob,
I had to read through your responce around a dozen times. I wasn't sure if you were playing me, or if I was missing something that was other than the issue you described. I checked the callendar a few times to (April already?). Google seemed to be pulling a fast one on me two.
Okay. Learn something new (and crazy) every day. The disk that Goldbox is running off of is no longer divisible by 4.
Thanks!
I guess this is one of those issues |

Yeah, I've explained it so many times that I guess I've forgotten the humor in it...but it's true! There's a permanent fix for it, on Doug Castell's site (same guy who hosts this board). |
