Hi All

GoldBox 2008-Q
GMPE 8.02
Server 2003
SQL 2005

When creating new records via GoldBox the recently viewed list displays like this:

Ross Guthrie : 3cubed Pty Ltd

It is as if the contact field is not trimmed. In the import profile I have tried both mapping the Contact field directly as well as mapping via an expression to trim the field

Eg: trim(Table->contact)

and it still displays this way.

Any ideas?

Ross

Given that I'm not a PE user, would you please show how you believe it should be displaying?

that's normal -- there's nothing wrong with your contacts. There's supposed to be a space on both sides of the color for readability purposes.

Sorry guys the website is removing the spaces ...

Consider the underscores to be spaces.

OK, but the problem is, I can't see how this could have anything to do with GoldBox.

Normally, databases do their own right trims. I'm not aware that your version of SQL varies from that; and even if it did, as you say, your own Trim() should take care of it. This sounds like a GoldMine error to me. Are you saying that ONLY Contacts that were created by GoldBox behave this way?

I have been able to replicate the issue when you swap a contact frm the additional contacts tab to be the primary record.

The recently viewed list leaves a large space between the contact and company names.

I have forwarded details of this to FRS Support, hopefully it will resolved in a soon to be released update.
