Am upgrading to 7.51 this weekend and have come across an unusual issue.
Background, going from 6.7.50123 to 7.51 CE. Upgrade from 6.7 to 7.0 was fine.
7.0 to 7.51 has left me with an issue where if a user goes into the preferences and then tries to click on the e-mail tab GM crashes and on an XP machine creates a MS error but on a Vista workstation gives no warning or error. On the server after login and going to preferences it just goes bye-bye. Any thoughts on the casue? I have renamed the username.ini file and logged back in, but same thing.
TIA

please disregard previous post as an "X" file was left over from the mailbox table during rebuild. After removing that and re-indexing the mailbox table all is good.
Love the forum.
Thanks |

Okay... but what you are saying doesn't make any sense... if you are using GoldMine v7.5.1, you should be running a SQL Server database. With SQL, you should never really need to rebuild and if you did, you would not have any Xailbox.* files.
So, are you running SQL or not? |

Yes, we are using SQL Server 2000 with SP 4 installed. Upon examination of the SQL database in question the xailbox table was found as when opening 7.51 initially it asked to re-index. It did not finish and after deleting the xfile and re-indexing the mailbox table using the GM maintanance function, it was all good.
