We currently have an automated process to change a status field on contacts to "PRIM" or "DELINQ" depending upon if they have been contacted in the last 75 days, using the LASTCONTON field in CONTACT2. This appears to be driven by whether an X, CBX or an email activity has been recorded for a particular contact.
Our sales manager wants to exclude the email activity as a updater of the LASTCONTON field. Is there a way to convince Goldmine (ver 7.00.70302, SQL Server 2000) to only use the call codes as an update flag?
Thanks in advance,

Not thru GoldMine afaik. It should be possible to achieve using a SQL trigger (in a non sync aware manner) but tbh you would need to get someone to sit down with you to write it for you. |

Work-a-Round:
Have your AP update a user-defined date field with a date when an activity is discovered, and do not rely on the GoldMine Last... fields. Now you simply have to look at your date fields for an empty date or a date that is beyond 75 days.
If you are using the Observer Process then you might want to have a separate Process that just watches for History Activity, and updates these date fields appropriately. |
