Hello I have recently begun migrating some of our users mailboxes to exchange 2007. I a have a few instances where users have sent mail to other internal users and the mail content is changed to ????????%%%>?????//
The string is typical of the entire message content. I would imagine this is a MIME type issue. Has anyone had to deal with something similar? Any suggestions appreciated. Thx

Contact FrontRange directly on this. This is a known problem for which they may or may not have a resolution. I'm thinking that their resolution is to upgrade to 8.5.1.12. |

I've got a customer who just upgraded from 8.0.3 to 8.5.12 and is seeing this issue. The mail ends up being filled with Chinese characters and all sorts of other unintended stuff for no apparent reason. Any insight appreciated. |

Doug I am getting feedback from MS that this is an issue with double byte character sets. E2K7 rollupdate 3 or sp2 addresses this issue. I have not applied either of these fixes yet (chicken). I will let you know what I find out. I also have been able to narrow the issue to forwarded e-mails prior to the exchange upgrade in my case. |

Interesting. The customer who has been seeing this does NOT use Exchange at all. They use GoldMine with their corporate re-branded gmail accounts. |

I believe a more accurate description on my part would have been that GM does not actually strictly comply with the SMTP RFC govorning DBCS. MS E2K7 apparently has issues with handling DBCS as well. I still have not applied sp2 by the way. |

We have also experienced this on one site upgraded to 8.5.1.12 - reported to FrontRange but no response so far. |

I think that I'm with Douglas on this one. I seem to remember that this was an issue with Exchange 2007. |
