GM 7.6.0.17 on SQL 2008 R2 Workgroup
Hi guys,
One of our clients has started noticing that goldmine mailouts are being linked to the wrong contacts.
It looks like goldmine is stuck at a particular accountno for a while and just places any email history in that contacts history rather than the correct contact.
Any suggestions as to what I should look for?
Thanks
Don |

I think that you had better call FrontRange Technical Support. I vaguely remember this as an issue. |

It would be worth backing up the database and running a reindex through GoldMine, just in case something has gone out of whack. |

True, and maybe you should try that before you call FrontRange Technical Support. |

Hey guys,
Thanks for the suggestions.
It took me ages to pin the users down on which emails were being a problem (They were just sending screen shots of the history tab and saying some of the emails in there should be there )
Anyways it looks like it was a user problem.
One or two of the users had been moving email addresses between different records and other users had been fastfiling their email which had then attached to incorrect records.
Thanks again for your time.

note that gmpe has added a little better logic and some better user alerts to the process of linking & relinking email addresses to help to mitigate this problem. |
