I have a client working with GoldMine 2013.1.0.236 via a Virtual Machine using the GoldMine Email Center. When he opens an email attachment in Word or Excel and tries to do a Save As his system goes completely unresponsive (CPU pegged at 100%). There is a message saying that the computer is "contacting S:\GoldMine\Mailbox\Attach-2016 (which is the default directory for saving attachments).
If he does a Save As for the attachment from the email without opening the attachment it works great. This issue only happens when he opens the attachment and does a save as when the attachment is open.
Other uses in the office not using virtual machine do not have this problem.
This issue started when they upgraded to Office 365 2016 edition.
Is there a way to correct this issue, if so how. I have done some research on this issue but have not seen this problem come up.
If we upgrade them to the latest version of GoldMine Premium would it resolve this issue? |

Could it be that there's a HUGE number of files in the [S:\GoldMine\Mailbox\Attach-2016] folder? |

Thanks! That is what GoldMine Support had said also. They have about 8900 files in the attachment folder. I have just recommended that they go with filing their attachments by user to see if that makes a difference. |
