I have GoldBox 2008-G installed on a system with GoldMine PE and a SQL 2000 backend. I set up GoldBox and configured everything. I am able to run global replacement routines without problems.
However, I am not able to use the import or update functionality. It seems like every field in the CONTACT2 table is considered protected. I can't turn it off. I know the fields exist for the records because an earlier GoldBox procedure went through and modified all the records' CONTACT2 fields.
I confirmed the SQL settings and the BDE settings. I even uninstalled and reinstalled GoldBox, but it didn't help. I am at a loss in terms of what could be the problem. Any assistance would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Bob |

Just back from vacation; won't be able to do much new until next week. Is this a Vista system? I recommend that you contact Dave Petonic directly on this one. |

It's not a Vista system. This is on a server running Windows 2003. I did have to make all the GoldBox EXE's exceptions for Data Execution Prevention. I'll keep everyone posted as to an ultimate solution. |

I spoke to Dave and the issue was related to the BDE settings. As soon as we corrected them to what was listed on the website, then everything worked a whole lot better! |
