I have a Goldbox job running to create Org Trees in Goldmine V7. The Trees on the Server are wiped and recreated correctly, However, for remote users the Trees are not wiped before adding the new trees. I have checked the Sync profiles and cannot see a reason for the problem. Any Comments would be gratefully received |

I just read an interesting comment from Richard Young on FR's GoldMine Forum. He says that if a GoldMine record is modified, and it has an existing tLog record, the GoldMine Stored Procedure involved will re-write the existing tLog, rather than add a new one. Not a great thing for a "log" to do. Of course, that has nothing to do with your situation (you aren't modifying the record, and GoldBox doesn't use that stored proc anyway). But it does speak to how complicated diagnosing sync problems can be.
I'm afraid you are going to have to get with Dave on this. I'll ask the obvious question: are you sure you are BOTH sending the deletion to the remote, AND receiving the deletion at the remote? When Dave gets back from vacation next week, he may come up with a test or something that you can do; but I can't be any more help than that, I'm afraid. |
