Hi folks.
Is it somehow possible (With GM on-board utilities) to move Sales / Activities / Emails of one GM-User to another? I am aware how to do it for single Sales / Activities / Emails, but is there a way to move ALL in one step?
Our system runs GMPE.
Thanks in advance.
Regards
Sebastian |

If you are talking about Completed activities then no this cannot be done within GoldMine. On the other hand, if you are talking about Pending activities then you can do a simple Territory Realignment within GoldMine. |

Are you talking about completed activities (history) or pending activities? |

I mean just everything what the GM-User did. Espacialy Sales (Completed) and Emails (Recieved and send).
The problem is - One of our workers has left the company. We want to erase his GM Account and relink everything to another worker.
How do you guys handle such situations?
Thanks |

I would never relink completed activities when someone leaves the company. The way I see it, if John visits a client and then leaves the company and Mark takes his place, I dont see the benifit of relinking the history item to Mark as it was not him who visited the client. It kind of distorts your data and defeats the purpose of keeping history records of activities.
I would only ever relink pending activites, ie, assign all calls and appointments to be made by the old user to the new user, and for this you would use territory realligment. |

I agree with Ronan's comments. You can use GM's Territory Realignment) to reassign (not re-link) pending (calendar) activities to other users. I do not see the benefit of changing the name on completed activities. If you really need to change the name on completed activities, you will need to use the "User Name Changer" feature in GoldBox. |

Absolutely, don't destroy your History. Whether the person is gone or not the History occured with that individual. It would be bad for you to try to change History. |

So if i delete the User who is gone - his sales wont be deleted? It will just stay the way it is? Doesnt this change the "summary" of sales made - as this summary only shows GM-Users who have an account?
Or am i wrong?
Regards. |

No deleting the user only removes their name from the list of users, it does not delete any data that they have entered against their name. Some information may no longer be visible, ie, the email center, but the data is still in the database for their username, and can still be seen in the pending/history tab, and if you recreate the user with the same username, their email center and calendar will populate with their data.
Im not sure what you are referring to by summary of sales? Are you referring to a report? |

I am talking about the Sales Analysis Tool. All GM-Users are listed there with the Sales completed. If i delete one of them - does his data still apear there? |

Thats a fair point, no I suspect that their data wont appear, even if you select All Users. The best thing to do in this case would be to simply leave the user in the GoldMine system, this way they can be selected in the analysis. |
