I'm trying to open RDC822 from mailbox, but cant get the text from it, here's what i do:
run a query in goldmine to return RFC822, but it only returns some of it, not all the text..
then I opened Enterprise manager, retunred 1000 rows from mailbox file, and in RFC822 field it says <Long Text>, how can i get the value of it?

Thanks

You might want to try your SQL Query via the SQL Management Tools.

You can run it in Enterprise Manager. You could also run it through GoldBox, if you have a BDE Alias for the database. The advantage of doing that is that it gives you a dBase file as the Result. That ensures the integrity of the Memo field, as long as the result set is below 2 GB in size.

I can't answer the question about XML, except to say that it definitely will not be the same format as GoldBox would produce.

FYI: I have a free tool that will convert a Goldmine.xml export into several .csv files - history, additional contacts, email messages, etc. Contact me directly if you are interested. www.solutuscrm.com

I use this mainly to migrate emails and data to other CRM but you can definately open the .csv and see the rfc822 bodies as text.

There is always my Compliance tool for exporting mail to an Outlook .PST file (complete with the attachments!)

Check it out here
