I would like to install universal search on my GM.

I have sql server 2008 r2 express and my understanding is that I re-run the installer for SQL express with advanced services and update the current installation with the "full text" feature.

I then go in to GM as a Master User and enable Universal Search.

Is it really that easy? Apart from taking a backup before hand are there any other recommendations and are there any pit falls?

I am using GM 2013.

Thank you in advance for any help and suggestions.

Yep, you've got the process.

The only initial pitfall I might suggest looking out for would be if your contudef and contact2 do not agree on the custom fields in your contact2 table, you could run into problems.

A pack and rebuild of contact2 would probably solve that (if you had a problem there) but, of course, at the expense of any SQL-side customizations (triggers, etc.) you might have made on the contact2 table...
