There are many GoldMine forums, blogs, add-ons, consultants, etc. available. Wouldn’t it be nice to be able to search all their on-line content from one place? Now you can!

I’ve come across an interesting site that lets you brew up your own community-powered search engine. It allows one to mix in specific pages, results from other search engines and various other resources to provide search results to users. Beyond the ability to limit the resources that are searched, the results are promoted (and demoted) by the people who use them. Once enough users participate, the theory is that the results get better and better!

I went ahead and set up a search engine for GoldMine content, including some of my favorite resources. Sure, it may be a little heavy on Castell Computers content, but hey, I’m biased. Given that the users of the engine will, no doubt, promote good content, I’m sure things will even out. I guess we’ll see, right?
